Celtics vs. Warriors score: Live NBA Finals updates as Stephen Curry and Co. aim to tie series with Game 4 win

Death, taxes… and the Boston Celtics bouncing back from defeat in the 2022 playoffs. The Celtics improved to 7-0 following a loss this postseason after dropping the Golden State Warriors 116-100 in Game 3. The Warriors trailed by four entering the fourth quarter, but were outscored 23-11 as the Celtics reclaimed the NBA Finals lead. Stephen Curry and Co. will look to get a much-needed win Friday night at the TD Garden and avoid falling into a devastating 3-1 series hole. While there is still plenty of basketball left to be played, it is the Celtics who own a 54-49 halftime lead over the Warriors following a very physical opening 24 minutes.

Golden State struggled for much of Game 3 yet was in position to win in the second half. The Warriors rallied in the third quarter, which included a rare seven-point possession, but their offense fizzled in the fourth. In fact, their 11 points were the third-fewest scored in a fourth quarter in Finals history. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart became the first trio with at least 20/5/5 in a Finals game since 1984 (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Michael Cooper.) Curry led all scorers with 31 points, though Draymond Green struggled mightily with two points, three rebounds, four assists and six fouls in 35 minutes.
